Pressure Washer Maintenance
Check and Clean Inlet Screen: Examine inletscreen
on pump inlet fitting. Clean if clogged; replace if tom.
Check High Pressure Hose: High pressure hose can
develop leaks from wear, kinking,abuse. Inspect hose
each time before use. Check for cuts, leaks, abrasions
or bulgingof cover, and damage ormovement of
couplings.If any of these conditionsexist, replace hose
immediately.
Check Chemical/Soap Hose: Examine the chemicaV
soap hoseand clean if clogged. Hose should fit tightly
on pump fitting.Check for leaks and tears. Replace
filter or hose if either is damaged.
Check Gun and Wand: Examine hose connectionto
gun making sure it is secure. Test trigger by pressing it
and making sure it springs back into place when you
release it.
Pump Maintenance (Changing Pump Oil)
Your pressurewasher pump is a sealed pump, you
should neverhave to change oil.
Changing Engine Oil
Change oil while engine is stillwarm. Preferably
drainoil from top of engineas illustratedbelow.
Drain oilwith aircleaner side up, Oilcan be drained
fromengine bottom ifnecessary.
IMPORTANT: Beforetippingengineor equipment to
drain oil, drainfuel from tank by runningengine until
fuel tank is empty.

Todrain oilfrom bottom of engine, removedrain
plug as illustratedbelow. Allow oil to drain and
replace drain plug. Remove dipstick and refillwith
new oil of recommended grade. Start and run engine
at idle for 30 seconds.

Purge Pump of Air and Contaminants
Toremove the airfrom the pump, follow these steps:
Set up the pressure washer as described in
Assembly section and connect the water supply.
Remove the wand extensionfromthe spray gun.
Pullthe trigger on the gun and hold.
Toremove the contaminants from the pump, follow
these steps:
Set up the pressure washer as described in
ASSEMBLY section, connect the water supply.
Remove the wand extension from the spraygun.
Start the engine accordingto instructionsinthe
OPERATIONsection.
Start the engineaccordingto instructionsinthe
OPERATIONsection.
Pullthe trigger on the gun and hold.
When the water supply is steady and constant,
disengage triggerand refasten the wand extension.
Engine Maintenance
Check Oil Level
Oil levelshould be checked prior to each use
orat least every 5 hoursof operation. To check oil see
Adding Engine Oil on page 9.

Stop engine. Wait 30 seconds and re-check oillevel.
If required, add oil to bring level to FULL mark on
dipstick,
Check Engine -- Finger Guard/Muffler
Do not clean engine witha forcefulspray of
water because water could contaminate fuel system.
With a brushor cloth, clean any debris from finger
guardafter every useto prevent engine damage
caused by overheating.
Before running engine, clean muffler area to
remove all grass and combustible debris.
