CHANGING THE DECK BELT

TheV-beltsfoundon yourtractorarespeciallydesignedto engage

anddisengagesafely.A substitute(non-OEM)V-beltcan bedanger-

ous bynotdisengagingcompletely.Fora properworkingmachine,

use factoryapprovedbeltsas listedin the PartsListmanualincluded

withthis product..

All beltsonyourtractoraresubjectto wearandshouldbereplacedif

any signsofwear arepresent.Tochangeor replacethe deckbelt on

yourtractor,proceedas follows:

1. Removethe deckas instructedon page20.

2. Removethebeltcoversfromtheouter spindlesby removingthe

hexscrewsthatfastenthemto the deck.SeeFigure14.

pulleyto getthe beltoff the pulleyandaroundthe belt guard.

4. Carefullyremovethe deckbelt fromaroundthe two spindle
