OPERATION
KNOW YOUR SPRAYER
Read this owner's manual and safety rules before operating your sprayer.
Comparetheillustrationbelowwithyoursprayertofamiliarizeyourselfwiththevariouscontrolsandtheirlocations.

smalltreesorareasinaccessibletothetowedsprayer.
ON-OFF VALVETurnstheowonorofffromthepumpto
theboomnozzles.
ON-OFF SWITCHTurnspump/motoronoroff.
BEFORE STARTING
It is important totesttheboomandspraygunwithplain
waterbeforeattemptingactualspraying.Thiswillenable
you to check the sprayer for leaks and to set the spray
patternandnozzlepressure.Ifaleakshouldoccur,thread
tapemaybeusedtobettersealthetting.
PUMP PRESSURE SWITCH
Thepumpisequippedwithapressureswitch.The
pressure switch senses outlet pressure of the pump
and will turn off the electrical power to the pump at a
predeterminedhighpressurepoint(35PSI).Iftheow
demandisverylow,thepumpmayreachthishigh
pressurepointandtheswitchwillcause"cycling"(the
pumpcyclesonandoffrapidly).Thisisnotaproblem
unlessthepumpissubjecttocontinuouscyclingwithin
onesecondintervalsforlongperiodsoftime.
ON-OFF ADJUSTMENT OF BOOM NOZZLES
Thesprayerisequippedwithan"On-Off"valveforthe
boomwhichallowstheowtotheboomnozzlestobe
shut off.
ADJUSTING SPRAY GUN NOZZLE
Turnthenozzleonthesprayguntoadjustthesprayfrom
aconeshapednemisttoastraightstream.Maximum
gunpressureisattainedwiththeON-OFFvalveshutoff.
SETTING THE BOOM FOR SPRAYING
Thecorrectpositioningoftheboomplacesthenozzles
approximately40"apartand14"abovetheground.This
givesaspraywidthofapproximately80"withaslight
centeroverlap.Seegure12.
a. Slidetheboombarsouttotheendsoftheslots.
b. Swiveltheboombarsuntilthenozzlesare
approximately14"abovetheground.
c. Makesurethenozzlesareadjustedsothatthe
openings point straight down.
