To prevent the batteries from leaking,
only insert batteries of the same type in
the blood pressure monitor.
If necessary, clean the battery and de-
vice contacts before inserting the bat-
teries.
Make sure that the polarity is correct
when inserting the batteries.
Promptly remove empty batteries from
the blood pressure monitor.
If a battery in the blood pressure moni-
tor has leaked, put on protective gloves
and use a dry cloth to clean the battery
compartment.
Do not allow battery acid to come into
contact with skin, eyes or mucus mem-
branes. In the event of contact with bat-
tery acid, immediately flush the applica-
ble areas with plenty of clean water and
consult a physician immediately.
If you do not use the blood pressure
monitor for a prolonged period, remove
the batteries from the battery compart-
ment.
