Information on likely routes of exposure
Inhalation
May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure by inhalation. May cause
drowsiness and dizziness. Headache. Nausea, vomiting. May cause irritation to the respiratory
system.
Skin contact
Causes skin irritation.
Causes serious eye irritation.
Ingestion
Harmful if swallowed. Even small amounts (30-250 ml methanol) may be fatal. Symptoms are
stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, dullness, visual disorder and blindness. Droplets of the product
aspirated into the lungs through ingestion or vomiting may cause a serious chemical pneumonia.
