CRC DRY LUBE
Ref. : 10255
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Dry Surface Lubricant containing PTFE. CRC Dry Lube is a fast drying, fluorotelomer
dispersion of white, waxy particles of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). When applied to a
variety of surfaces, the product exhibits outstanding lubricity and antistick or release
properties. The low molecular weight of PTFE gives thermal and chemical stability. As a
lubricant, CRC Dry Lube is most effective where low speeds and light loads are involved.
2. FEATURES
• Clean, dry and non-oily.
• Functions under a wide variety of conditions, ranging from cryogenic temperatures to
260°C.
• Produces extremely low coefficient of friction.
• Reduces 'stick-slip' problems to a minimum.
• Most effective where low speeds and light loads are involved.
• Thermal stability: can be heated above its melting point before appreciable decomposition
starts.
• Chemical stability: resistant to most acids and hydroxides (HNO

• Room temperature drying.
• User friendly operation.
• Delivered in an aerosol for convenience.
3. APPLICATIONS
a. As a Dry Lubricant
CRC Dry Lube is extensively used as a dry surface lubricant in electronic switches, window
hardware, military equipment and many others:
• Leather, plastics, and elastomers used in drive belts, gaskets, packings, gears, bearings
and sleeves, and chain drives.
• Metal, fabric and thread, as well as cord, twine, rope and cable made from natural or
synthetic fibers.
• Machine parts and fittings, including nuts and bolts linkage and connectors, locks, power
saw blades machine mechanisms, electrical equipment, instruments and office machines.
• Extrusion, rolling, drawing, sizing, and other metalworking operations.
• Musical instruments, magnetic recording tapes, camera shutters and film.
• Glass and paper.
• Door hinges, locks and catches, window guides, slide channels on storm window sashes
and screens, furniture and cabinet drawers and guides, zippers, and many other
household items.
b. As a Release Agent
Used extensively as a release agent in the moulding of rubber and plastic parts. CRC Dry
Lube is virtually unaffected by either the mould's material or the products being moulded.
