Audio System Diagnostics
The audio system diagnostic menu allows the following
actions for you or your INDIAN MOTORCYCLE dealer:
• View radio software version
• Set compass declination angle
• Calibrate compass
• Perform left hand audio control key pad tests
• Set radio tuner location
• View vehicle speed
Diagnostic Menu
To access the diagnostic menu:
1. Press and hold to turn the radio off.
2. Turn the power switch OFF.
3. Turn the power switch ON.
4. Press and hold for several seconds.
5. This screen will appear if
steps 1-3 were performed
correctly.
Tip: If you do not see this screen,
perform steps 1-3 again.
6. Press and release to
move to Compass Declination
Angle Setting.
Compass Declination Angle Setting
The next diagnostic menu
selection is used to set the
compass declination angle.
The declination angle is the
degrees of difference between
true north and magnetic north at
your current geographical
position.
When driving long distances, such as cross-country trips or
when moving to a new state or province, you may need to
reset the compass declination angle settings.
If the compass is not set to the zone where you live, the
compass may not provide accurate directional readings.
CAUTION! Do not adjust the compass declination setting when the
motorcycle is moving. Always make adjustments when parked and
with the transmission in neutral gear.
The declination angle can be adjusted between -30 and +30
degrees.
1. Press or to adjust the angle up or down.
2. Press to enter the new setting.
