The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.

manage EDID capabilities of
devices in the system.
No video displayed,
but audio is heard.
Possible HDCP error.
Check control system error log,
or DM switch for HDCP errors.
Violation of HDCP rules
(number of display
devices exceeds the
source’s number of
allowed displays).
Disconnect displays that may
not be used with source during
run time and repeat HDCP
check.
Replace source device with a
device that allows more
displays to be connected.
HDCP Check
Failure Message
during
commissioning.
Violation of HDCP rules
(device depth exceeds
allowable depth
specification).
Reconfigure signal path to
remove midpoint devices that
increase overall device depth.
Device is not
communicating with
the network.
Use Crestron Toolbox to poll
the network. Verify network
connection to the device.
Device does not
function.
Electrostatic discharge
due to improper
grounding.
Check that all ground
connections have been made
properly.
Unexpected
operation.
Device is receiving
power from another
powered DM device
(switch or endpoint).
Disconnect the +24V wire
between the DM-MD6X1 and
the other powered device.
Loss of video. Various causes.
Use DM Tool to determine
cause and correct accordingly.
