Ethernet
Communication
The DMPS-100/200/300-C connects to PC via Ethernet:
1. Establish communication between DMPS-100/200/300-C and PC.
2. Use the Device Discovery Tool (click the
icon) in Crestron Toolbox to
detect all Ethernet devices on the network and their IP configuration. The
tool is available in Toolbox version 1.15.143 or later.
3. Click on the DMPS-100/200/300-C to display information about the device.
Firmware
Firmware files may be distributed from programmers to installers or from Crestron to
dealers. Firmware upgrades are available from the Crestron website as new features
are developed after product releases. One has the option to upload and upgrade via the
Crestron Toolbox. For details on uploading and upgrading, refer to the Crestron
Toolbox help file.
Check the Crestron website to find the latest firmware. (New users must register to
obtain access to certain areas of the site, including the FTP site.)
Upgrade DMPS-100/200/300-C firmware via Crestron Toolbox:
1. Establish communication with the DMPS-100/200/300-C and display the
“System Info” window.
2. Select Functions | Firmware… to upgrade the DMPS-100/200/300-C
firmware.
IP Configuration
In Static IP Address mode, devices connected to the DMPS-100/200/300-C receive a
static IP configuration equivalent to the DMPS-100/200/300-C IP address plus their
slot number. This configuration is sent when the DMPS-100/200/300-C starts up.
1. Turn off DHCP.
2. Set the IP Mask.
3. Set the default router.
4. Set the IP address.
Refer to the following table. In this example, the user assigns the
DMPS-100/200/300-C a static address (the main address). All other connected device
addresses are configured in the following manner.
