3. Turn the selection knob to highlight the desired setting and press the
selection knob to enable the setting and return to the Network Setup
section.
Hostname
The PSPHD can be recognized by its hostname in a networked environment. To
view and set the hostname:
1. Open the Network Setup section as described on page 35.
2. Turn the selection knob until the hostname is displayed. To change the
hostname, press the selection knob to open the Hostname control.

3. Select letters (upper and lower-case), numbers, or other characters by
turning the selection knob until the desired letter, number, or other
character is displayed on the VFD. Valid hostname characters are ASCII
letters “a” through “z” (case-insensitive), the digits “0” through “9”, and the
hyphen. Hostname cannot begin or end with a hyphen. No other symbols,
punctuation characters or blank spaces are permitted.
4. Move the cursor to another position by pressing the soft buttons labeled <
and >. To delete a character, press the soft button marked Del. To insert a
space, press the soft button labeled Ins.
NOTE: The maximum length for the hostname is 64 characters.
5. After the new name has been entered, press the selection knob to save the
name and return to the Network Setup section.
Domain Name
Some networks may require a domain name to resolve the hostname. To view and
set the domain name:
1. Open the Network Setup section as described on page 35.
