 AMS  Media System 
⇒  Cathedral – This setting recreates the sound field of a stone 
church. 
⇒  Hall – This setting recreates the sound field of a concert hall. 
⇒  Stadium – This setting recreates the sound field of a large open-air 
stadium. 
⇒  Jazz Club – This setting recreates the sound field of a concert in a 
club with low ceilings, hard walls, and the artist in front of the 
listening area. 
•  Press the ENTER button to select the displayed Surround Sound mode. 
Adjust the Backlighting 
The backlighting level of the display and buttons can be set when operating in the 
Theater mode. The display can also be set to automatically dim the display to the 
lowest setting after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity. 
To adjust the backlighting level press the soft button labeled Bklt to open the 
Backlight controls.

Auto
The current settings are underlined. 
•  Press the soft button labeled High to set the backlighting to the highest 
brightness setting. 
•  Press the soft button labeled Med to set the backlighting to the medium 
brightness setting. 
•  Press the soft button labeled Low to set the backlighting to the lowest 
brightness setting. 
•  To turn the automatic dimming feature on or off, press the soft button 
labeled Auto. Automatic dimming is enabled when the word Auto is 
underlined. 
•  Press MENU to return to the previous screen. 
Theater Tools 
Theater tools allow for the adjustment of bass and treble levels, and enabling 
Audyssey processing. 
To open Theater tools: 
•  Press the MORE button to view additional theater controls. To return to the 
main theater controls, press the MORE button again.
