Crestron TPS-4500V & TPS-4500LV 12 Inch Tilt/Lectern Touchpanels Setup Network Wiring CAUTION: Use only Crestron power supplies for Crestron equipment. Failure to do so could cause equipment damage or void the Crestron warranty. CAUTION: Possible equipment damage if miswired.
12 Inch Tilt/Lectern Touchpanels Crestron TPS-4500V & TPS-4500LV NOTE: When daisy-chaining Cresnet units, strip the ends of the wires carefully to avoid nicking the conductors. Twist together the ends of the wires that share a pin on the network connector, and tin the twisted connection. Apply solder only to the ends of the twisted wires. Avoid tinning too far up the wires or the end becomes brittle. Insert the tinned connection into the Cresnet connector and tighten the retaining screw.

12 Inch Tilt/Lectern Touchpanels Crestron TPS-4500V & TPS-4500LV Appendix A: RS-232 Protocol TPS-4500V/LV touchpanels support panel operation via a host computer through the RS-232 port. While in this mode, the touchpanel can be used as a stand-alone controller to a host computer running a third-party or custom program. Crestron recommends that the following serial data format is set.
Crestron TPS-4500V & TPS-4500LV 12 Inch Tilt/Lectern Touchpanels at a time, an 'R' code always follows a 'P' code. A fixed three-digit format is used to simplify software on the host. Codes may be sent to the touchpanel in the same form as they are received. The 'P' form turns on a function and the 'R' form turns off a function; sending back information received from the touchpanel (i.e., jumping pins 2 and 3 on the RS-232 port) makes the buttons momentary.
