6 Aiming and Firing Safely
A. Aiming the Airgun
•AlwayspointyourairguninaSAFEDIRECTION.
•Youandotherswithyoushouldalwayswearshootingglassestoprotectyoureyes.
•Donotshootathardsurfacesoratthesurfaceofwater.TheBBorpelletmaybounceoffor
ricochetandhitsomeoneorsomethingyouhadnotintendedtohit.
•Alwayschooseyourtargetcarefully.Forexample,youmaywishtoshootatpaperbullseye
targetsthatareattachedtoasafebackstopsuchastheCrosman0852PelletTrap(available
atcrosman.com).Aheavyblanketshouldbehungbehindthepellettraptopreventricochet
shouldyoumissthebackstop.
•Yourairgunisdesignedfortargetshootingandissuitedforbothindoorandoutdooruse.Always
remembertoplaceyourtargetcarefully.THINKaboutwhatyouwillhitifyoumissthetarget.
•Followtheinstructionsforpumping(Section3)andloadingBB(Section4A)orpellets(Section5A).
•Theairguniscorrectlyaimedwhenthefrontsightbladeispositionedexactlyinthecenterofthe
apertureoftherearsight.Thetopofthefrontsightbladeshouldbeevenwiththetopofthe
apertureintherearsight.
Thebulls-eyeshouldappeartorestonthetopofthefrontsight.(Fig.9)
•Whenyouaresureofyourtargetandbackstop,andtheareaaroundthetargetisclear,takethe
airgun“OFFSAFE”(Seesection2B)andpullthetriggertore.
Note:Youmustfollowtheprocedureforpumping,loadingandringyourairguneachtimeyoushoot.
B. Sight Adjustment
•Thisairguncomeswithanadjustablerearsightforwindage(leftorrightmovement)(Fig.10A).You
canadjusttherearsightbyturningthesmallscrewattachedtothedualaperturetothedesireddirec-
tion.Uselargeapertureformovingorlargetargetsandthesmallapertureforstationaryandbulls-eye
targets.(Fig.10B)Tochangeaperturesize,simplypushthedesiredsizetothetop.
•Thefrontsightisadjustableforelevation.Usethetoolsuppliedinthestoragemagazinetoadjustthe
frontsightupordownbyturningclockwiseorcounterclockwise.(Fig.11)
ADJUSTING THE STOCK
•Yourairgunisshippedwiththestockintheclosedpositionandiscapableofadjustingto
differentlengths.
•Beforeadjustingthestockmakesureyourairgunis“ONSAFE”,(seesection2A)andpointedina
SAFEDIRECTION.
•Pushthestockreleaseleverandadjustthestockuntilitlocksintothedesiredposition.
7. Removing a Jammed BB or Pellet
•Donotreloadtheairgun.
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”.
•PointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION.
•IfshootingBBs,unloadtheBBsfromthevisualmagazine(SeeStep4B).
•Withtheairgun“ONSAFE”,opentheboltbypullingitallthewayback.
•WhilepointinginSAFEDIRECTION,holdthegunintheposition
showninFigure12.
•Inserta.177caliberramrod(notincluded)intothebarrelandcare-
fullypushthejammedBBorpelletoutofthegun.Donottryto
reusetheBBorpellet.
•Ifyouareunabletounjamyourairgunbyfollowingthisprocedure,
takenofurtheractionandcontactanAuthorizedServiceStation
forfurtherassistanceandservice.
8. Maintaining Your Airgun
•Beforeyouattempttooilyourairgun,makesurethegunis“ON
SAFE”,unloadedandtheairhasbeenremoved(seeSection4Band5B).
•Yourairgunwillmaintainproperfunctionlongerifyouoilitevery250

•DONOTMODIFYORALTERYOURAIRGUN.Attemptstomodifythe
airguninanywayinconsistentwiththismanualmaymakeyourairgun
unsafetouse,causeseriousinjuryordeath,andwillvoidthewarranty.
•Ifyoudropyourairgun,visuallychecktoseethatnodamagehas
occurredtothegun.Ifanythingseemschanged,likeashorteror

9. Attaching Accessories
A. Attaching a Scope (not included)
Thisairgunhasanintegratedtoprailthatispicatinny/weavercompatibleforattachmentof
aftermarketsights,includingscopeswithpicatinny/weaverrings.Adjusttheringsonyour
scopetomatchthemeasurementsofthetoprail.Thenadjustthescopeforyourdesiredeye
relief.Thentightenthehandknoborscrewtomaketheringssecuretothetoprail.
DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN THE RING TO THE TOP RAIL.Overtighteningtheringontheplastic
railwillcausestressdamagetotheplasticandmaydeformthetoprail.
B. Attaching a Sling (not included)
•Thisairriehastwoslingloopslots.Oneslotisinthestockandtheotherisunderthe
frontsightaboveandbelowthebarrel.
•Toattachtheslingatbothendspushthesewnwebbingloopendthroughtheslotandpulltight.Toremovethesling,foldthe
webbingtoitssmallestsizeandpushbackthroughtheslotuntilthewebbingcomesfree.

2. Operating the Cross Block Safety
ThewordsPRESSFIREandPRESSSAFEareonthetopofthetriggerguard.The
PRESSFIREandPRESSSAFEindicatethesafetyconditionwhenpressedush
withthetriggerguard(Fig.2).
A. To Put the Airgun “ON SAFE”:
•Locatethesafetydirectlyinfrontofthetrigger.
•ThesafetyisONandtheairgunis“ONSAFE”whenthesafetybuttonis
pushedfromthelefttotheright(NoRedShowing)(Fig.1A).
B.To Take the Airgun “OFF SAFE”:
•ThesafetyisOFFandtheairgunis“OFFSAFE”whenthesafetybuttonis
pushedfromtherighttotheleft(RedShowing)(Fig.1B).
•Whentheairgunis“OFFSAFE,”thetriggercanbepulledandtheairguncanberedifitischarged(lled)andloaded.
Likeallmechanicaldevices,anairgunsafetycanfail.Evenwhenthesafetyis“ONSAFE”,youshouldcontinuetohandletheairgun
safely.NEVERpointtheairgunatanyperson.NEVERpointtheairgunatanythingyoudonotintendtoshoot.
3. Pumping the Airgun
WARNING:
Always hold the forearm rmly when pumping the airgun. Failure to grip the forearm rmly while pumping
the airgun may cause the forearm to spring back into the closed position and may result in injury.
WARNING:
Never pump your airgun more than 10 times. Overpumping may leave a small amount of air in the airgun
after it is red and may allow the user to re a second shot without additional pumping. Failure to follow these instructions
may result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION:Neverpumpyourairgunmorethan10times.Overpumpingcancausemajordamage
toyourairgun.
Note:Youmustfollowtheproceduredescribedbelowforpumping,loadingandringyourairgun
eachtimeyoushoot.
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”.(SeeStep2A)
•PlaceyourhandsinthesamepositionsshowninFig.2.Improperhandplacementmayresultin
pinchingifyouloseholdoftheforearmandmayresultininjury.
•Firmlygriptheforearmandopenitallthewayuntilitstopsandthen,withasmoothstroke,
returntheforearmtoitsoriginalclosedpostion.(Fig.3)
•Usestraightstrokeswhilepumpingtheairgun.Twistingtheforearmwhilepumpingmaycause
theforearmtobreak.
•Makesuretouseatleastthreepumps(butnomorethan10)topreventapelletfromjamminginthe
barrelafterring.
Reminder: You must follow the procedure described above for pumping, loading
and ring your airgun for each shot.
4. Loading and Unloading BBs
YourairgunwasdesignedtoworkwithCrosmanbrandedammunition.TheseincludeCROSMAN,
COPPERHEAD,andBENJAMIN.Useofotherammunitionmaycauseyourguntomalfunction.
A. Loading BBs
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep2A).
•PointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION.
•LocatetheBBloadingportontheleftsideofthe
receiver(Fig.4).
•Slidetheloadingportcovertowardtherearoftheairgun.
•Pournomorethan350BBsintothehole.
Fill the reservoir with BBs only. Use of Pel-
lets will jam the reservoir.
•Closetheloadingportcover.
•PulltheBBretainerbuttonback(Fig.5).
•Pointthebarrelstraightdown.
•Withahandtwistingmotion,shakeandtwisttheairgun(SeeFig.6)tollthevisualmagazine.
•PushtheBBretainerbuttonforwardtokeeptheBBsinthemagazine.
•Positionthe
EMPTYpelletclipsothattheboltwillfeedthroughoneofthepelletchambers.
•Withthebarreltilteddownward,cocktheboltbypullingitallthewayback(twoclicks)andthen
pushingitallthewayforward.ThemagneticboltwillpickupaBB.(Asyoupushtheboltforward
slowly,youcanseetheBBmovethroughthepelletclip).
•TheBBisnowinpositiontoberedoutofthebarrelafterreadingandfollowingsection6on
aimingandringsafely.
Note:BBswillnottransferfromthemagazinetothebarreliftheairgunistiltedupward.
B. Unloading BBs by Firing
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep2A).
•PulltheBBretainerbuttonback(Fig.5).
•Tiltthebarrelupward.
•Withahandtwistingmotion,shakeandtwisttheairgununtilALLoftheBBsareoutofthe
visualmagazine.
•PushtheBBretainerbuttonforwardtoblockBBsfromthevisualmagazine.(Fig.5)
•Tilttheairgun(barreldownward),pointinginaSAFEDIRECTION.
•Pulltheboltallthewayback(twoclicks)andthenslowlyforwardlookingtoseeifthereisaBBon
themagneticbolt.
•Ifyourairgunisnotpumped,followsection3onpumpingyourairgun.
•PointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION;take“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep2B)andre.Thiswill
unloadtheBBfromthemagneticbolt.
•RepeatthisunloadingprocedureuntilnoBBsarevisibleonthemagneticbolt.
REMEMBER:BBswillnottransferfromthemagazinetothebarreliftheairgunistiltedupward.
ToremoveBBsfromreservoir-openloadingportcover,turngunsotheholeisfacingdownand
shakethegununtilyounolongerhearBBsinthereservoir.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS TREAT YOUR AIRGUN AS IF IT IS LOADED.
5. Loading and Unloading Pellets

A. Loading Pellets
•UnloadalloftheBBsfromtheairgun(SeeStep4B)FailuretounloadBBsbeforeloadingapel-
letmaycausetheairguntojam.
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep2A).
•PointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION.
•Placeapellet(noserst),ineachofthevepelletchambers(Fig.7).
IMPORTANT:Toavoidjamsordeformingpellets,makesureeachpelletskirtislevelorslightly
belowtherimofthepelletchamber.
•Pulltheboltallthewayback.
•Placethepelletclipintothegunasshowningure8,makingsuretolineuponeofthepellet
chamberswiththebarrelchamber.
IMPORTANT:Ifthepelletclipisnotlinedupproperly,youwillnotbeabletopushtheboltforward.
•Pushtheboltallthewayforward.Thepelletisnowinapositiontoreoutofthebarrelafter
readingandfollowingsection6onaimingandringsafely.
B. Unloading Pellets
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep2A).
•Removethepelletclip(SeeStep5A).
•Usearamrod(notincluded)togentlypusheachpelletoutoftheclip.
IMPORTANT:Neverusesharpmetaltoolstoremovepellets.
•Laytheclipaside.
•Withtheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep2A),pumptheairgunthreetimes(SeeStep3)andcock
theboltbypullingitallthewaybackandpushingitforward.
•Taketheairgun“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep2B),pointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTIONandpullthe
triggertore.
•Puttheairgun“ONSAFE”.
•AnotherwayofunloadingtheairgunistofollowthedirectionslistedunderStep7-Removinga
JammedBBorPellet.
•Puttheemptyclipbackinyourairgun.
