Introduction

Ultraviolet (UV) light is represented in the light spectrum as light with a

wavelength of 200nm to 400nm. The UV spectrum is divided into three

regions: the near ultraviolet, the far ultraviolet, and the extreme ultraviolet, all

of which are present in natural sunlight. These waves are invisible to the

human eye.

VIZ

Visual Inspection Zone.

Those portions of the MRTD (data page in the case of MRP) designed for

visual inspection, i.e. front and back (where applicable), not defined as the

MRZ.
