SEAT INSTALLATION
• Confirm contents of box: Tub seat, Phillips head screws, and metal wall hook (pictured above).
• Tools & supplies needed: Phillips screw driver, shims, pencil, drill, and silicone caulk.
• Test seat up/down movement, then set in down position and carefully consider the following before installing:
• MOUNTING LOCATIONS: Install only where proper structure is provided behind the wall. Measure area on the wall
of seat in the up/collapsed position, to avoid hitting other objects. Also avoid pipe/wires/grout/etc.
• CHECK FIT: There are anti-scratch gripping pads to protect the tub from the stainless steel seat frame. Place the
tub seat in the down position, so it rests upon the rim of the bathtub. At this point the top of the mounting
brackets should be approximately 6.1” above the bottom of the seat frame.
• STABILITY: With the anti-scratch pads resting on the outer tub rim, place shims between the seat and the inner tub
rim to ensure there is no movement or rocking where the anti-scratch pads meet the outer rim wall. Using a pencil,
mark the screw locations for attaching to the wall.
• IMPORTANT: MUST HAVE PROPER CONCEALED IN-WALL BACKING INSTALLED BY A LICENSED INSTALLATION
• PROFESSIONAL AT SCREW MOUNTING LOCATIONS.
• Drill mounting holes.
• Onto the backside of each flange, where it will touch the wall, apply a bead of silicone caulk around each screw
hole.
• Install the seat with the manufacturer’s provided screws. After installing the seat, inspect each screw to ensure it is
tight, straight and flush with the flange. WARNING: Avoid damage to wall, tile, or fasteners by not over-
tightening screws.
• Test seat up and down movement.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
HOOK INSTALLATION
• The hook holds the seat in place, against the wall, when not in use. The hook will be installed above the tub seat.
The curved part of the hook will hang below the mounting bracket as in the photo above.
• Hold the tub seat against the wall in the up position. Place the hook over the rounded tube frame, which is located
at the short end of the seat. Check that the hook can swing away allowing the seat to move into the down position.
In other words don’t make it too tight of a fit that the seat cannot be released.
• While holding the hook bracket tightly in place against the wall, mark the upper hole position of the mounting
bracket.
• Check that the mounting bracket is plum and mark the second hole.
• Drill mounting holes.
• Onto the backside of each flange, where it will touch the wall, apply a bead of silicone caulk around each screw hole.
• Install the hook with the manufacturer’s provided screws. After installing the hook, inspect each screw to ensure it is
tight, straight and flush with the flange. WARNING: Avoid damage to wall, tile, or fasteners by not over-tightening
screws.
• Test seat movement up/down, and verify seat stays in raised position while being held in place by the hook.
Maintenance: Clean with mild soap and water.
