2.9 FIB1-1000E
The FIB1-1000E is our 'enhanced' Gigabit Ethernet media converter that
supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-TX and converts to 1000Base-LX or SX
(fiber). The UTP side supports auto-negotiation for speed and duplex or the settings
may be forced by DIP switch setting. The front panel DIP switch is also used to
enable or disable the link loss forwarding function or to perform loop back test with
another connected FIB1-1000E converter. When the FIB1-1000E is placed in the
FRM301 with SNMP, the settings are controlled by the chassis management system
and any DIP settings are ignored.
