40. Slide the blade adjustment handle assembly (#2) into the
eyebolt (#16) and attach it to the outer hole on the blade
adjustment arm using a shoulder bolt (#28), flat washer
(#27) and flange lock nut (#19). See Figure 2-24 .

41. Cut the cable tie securing the blade release cable to the
blade frame assembly. Unroll the cable. Using the mounting
screw (#35), mount the blade release cable lever to the blade
adjustment handle assembly (#2). See Figure 2-25.

42. Secure the cable to the blade adjustment handle assembly
(#2) with the two cable ties (#25) provided. See Figure 2-26.

Blade Removal
To remove the blade continue as follows:
1. Remove the blade adjustment handle assembly (#2) from
the handle mount bracket (#11) by removing the eyebolt
assembly (#8) and wing nut (#20). See Figure 2-23.
2. With the blade assembly (#1) in the raised position, release
tension on the extension springs (#26) by loosening the
sems nuts (#18). See Figure 2-22.
3. Lower the blade and remove the cotter pin and clevis
pin securing the lift rod assembly (#4) to the lift bracket
assembly (#5). See Figure 2-21. Place the cotter pin and
clevis pin back into the lift rod assembly for storage.
4. Remove the bow-tie cotter pins from the pins in the lift
bracket assembly (#5) and remove the lift bracket assembly
(#5) from the tractor. See Figure 2-18. Replace the bow-tie
cotter pins into the pins on the lift bracket assembly (#5) for
storage.
5. Remove the click pins from the rod securing the back
end of the brace bracket assembly (#3) to the mounting
brackets (#10). Slide the rod out of the brace bracket
assembly (#3) and the mounting brackets (#10). Remove
the clevis pin, shoulder spacer and cotter pin securing the
brace bracket to the blade mount bracket. See Figure 2-13.
Secure the rod and the hardware and the rod back into the
brace bracket assembly (#3).
6. The mounting brackets (#10) may remain attached to
the tractor frame. Remove any pins necessary when re-
installing the deck or any other attachments.
