CONTENTS GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS Important Safeguards.................................... 2 For your protection, Cuisinart Cast-Iron Burners are equipped with a 3-conductor cord set having a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should be used in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet as shown in Figure 1. If a grounding-type outlet is not available, an adapter, as shown in Figure 2, may be obtained to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to be used with a 3-prong plug.

OPERATION • Do not leave the unit on without any pots/pans on the solid burners after the initial burn-off process. Before plugging in your cast-iron burner, check to ensure that the electrical circuit is not overloaded with other appliances. This unit should always be operated on a separate 120 volt 60 Hz AC circuit. Be certain that your cast-iron burner is resting level on the countertop. There is one burner ring on the CB30 and two burner rings on the CB60.
