SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
As with any domestic appliance, this juice extractor should be handled with caution. Follow the
instructions below to avoid any risk of injury.
CAUTION: The polythene bags over the product or packaging may be dangerous. To
avoid any risk of suocation, keep out of the reach of babies and children. These bags are
not toys.
• Handle the lter with great care. Avoid touching the sharp metal parts.
• Before turning on the appliance, make sure that the lter is fully pressed onto the motor shaft and
that the lid is properly positioned. Do not force or block the lid mechanism.
• Always use the pusher to press the food down. Never use your ngers or any other utensil.
• Always wait until the lter has stopped moving before removing the pusher or the lid.
• Turn o and unplug the appliance before cleaning, setting it up, removing the pulp container or
attaching parts that move when the appliance is operating.
• Do not use the appliance if the rotating lter is damaged.
• Only use this appliance with the accessories provided by Cuisinart®.
• Never immerse the housing base in water or any other liquid.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling,
disassembling or cleaning. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when plugged in. To unplug
the appliance, pull on the the plug never the lead.
• Never let the lead hang over the edge of the work surface and never let it come in contact with
hot surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged or if the appliance has fallen or appears damaged.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
