sometimes more than once a day. Now that you’ll be showering in
filtered water, your shower experience will be even more enjoyable!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Showerhead :
PREPARATION OF SHOWER SUPPLY PIPE:
Installs on any standard

/2” threaded shower pipe
Identify all included parts before beginning installation
1. Remove existing showerhead from shower pipe by turning
showerhead counter-clockwise
2. Clean away any debris that may be present on the threaded pipe
3. Wrap Teflon
®
tape (included) tightly around
shower pipe threads 2-3 turns to prevent leaking
SHOWERHEAD INSTALLATION:
Note: showerhead will not function without a filter cartridge in place.
1. Remove face plate from the showerhead by unscrewing the six screws
(located on the outside circle of holes of the face plate about every 2.5”
apart) with a Phillips head screwdriver and set face plate aside
2. REMOVE STICKERS FROM BOTH SIDES OF
CARTRIDGE BEFORE INSTALLING.

3. Re-attach face plate to showerhead base by
rotating the face plate until the six screw holes
are aligned with the base then insert the
six screws in the holes and tighten

5. Place Culligan

and tighten nut by hand turning clockwise and
position swivel joint of showerhead at

6. Turn water on and check for leaks and tighten as necessary
7. If additional tightening is necessary, use protective cloth on nut and
tighten with a wrench
8. Flush cartridge for 5 minutes
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Continued:
NOTE: After testing water flow of installed showerhead, and it is determined
flow is not adequate, showerhead flow restrictor located inside swivel joint of
showerhead can be removed (see “REMEDY” in owner’s manual included).
The flow restrictor restricts flow of water out of showerhead to 2.0 gpm. In
areas of low water pressure where flow may already be below 2.0 gpm, you
may opt not to use the flow restrictor.
NOTE: Using optional RDA-150 Hi-Lo arm (sold separately) will allow multiple
adjustments of the height and angle to accommodate personal preference or
varied heights of users. Follow installation instructions included with RDA-150.
CARTRIDGE CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS:
CAUTION: It is recommended to cover the drain opening of bath/shower to
prevent loss of any screws that might drop during dismantle and re-assembly
process
1. Remove face plate from the showerhead by
unscrewing the six screws with a Phillips head
screwdriver and set face plate aside
2. Grasp filter cartridge and pull up and to the side
to remove and discard
3. REMOVE STICKER FROM BOTH SIDES OF NEW
CARTRIDGE BEFORE INSTALLING. Push new
cartridge firmly down into cavity until seated
4. Re-attach face plate to showerhead base by
rotating the face plate until the six screw holes
are aligned with the base then insert the six
screws in the holes and tighten
Note: showerhead will not function without a filter cartridge in place.
Caution: Filter must be protected against freezing which can cause cracking
of the filter and water leakage. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives
such as chlorine bleach, cleaning fluids or abrasive pads to clean the
showerhead.
Warning: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of
unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit.
Do not pull on showerhead or use showerhead or shower arm for support.
The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water
treatment device may not necessarily be in your water.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
SYMPTOM:
The water flow from my filtered showerhead has been fine but has suddenly
changed and less water seems to be flowing from the showerhead.
REMEDY:
When water pressure drops suddenly, follow these Filter Cartridge Back
Flush Instructions: Occasionally, you may notice reduced water flow through
your shower filter. This is normal in areas with high levels of sediment in
the water supply or if your water is supplied by private well. This reduced
flow is easily remedied.
Your Culligan
®
shower filter cartridge has a life of 10,000 gallons,
estimated to be 6 months depending on household usage. If you notice a
flow reduction within this period of time, open your shower head according
to the Cartridge Change Procedure contained in this manual.
With the showerhead open, remove the filter cartridge, rotate the cartridge
180 degrees. Replace the cartridge in this new orientation and then replace
the faceplate and tighten. Move out of the path of the water and then
turn the shower on. You may notice discolored water coming from the
showerhead for a brief time. This is the built up sediment that was clogging
the screens in the cartridge and causing the flow reduction. The filter
cartridge is reversible and may be used in either direction. Once you have
completed this procedure, your cartridge will continue to supply clear, clean
water for the full 10,000 gallons.
SYMPTOM:
Upon installation of my filtered showerhead, the water pressure is not
sufficient to provide adequate water flow or a comfortable shower
experience.
REMEDY:
Your product contains a water-saving flow restrictor which restricts the flow
to a maximum 2.0 gallons per minute (gpm). If your water flow is below
2.0 gpm, you may remove the flow restrictor easily to improve your flow
rate and enjoy a better shower experience by coming up to the
recommended flow rate.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING (continued)
RDSH-C115 flow restrictor removal instructions:
The flow restrictor is located inside the threading
connection. Remove your showerhead from the
shower arm and locate the black rubber restrictor
with three holes in the connection.
Using a tweezers or needle-nose pliers pull the
restrictor out and discard. Reattach your showerhead to the shower arm
shower supply pipe or RDA-150 Hi-Lo arm turning clockwise, tightening
and checking for leaks according to the original installation instructions
contained in this manual.

This system has been tested according to NSF/ANSI 177 for reduction of free
available chlorine. The concentration of free available chlorine in water
entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the
permissible limit for water leaving the system, as specified in NSF/ANSI 177.
The system has not been evaluated for free available chlorine reduction
performance in the presence of chloramines. Free available chlorine reduction
performance may be impacted by the presence of chloramines in the water
supply. Please contact your local water utility to determine if chloramines are
used in treating your water.
Testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN
Regadera RainDisc™ modelo RDSH-C115:
PREPARACIÓN DE LA TUBERÍA DE SUMINISTRO DE LA DUCHA:
Se instala sobre cualquier tubería de ducha roscada estándar de ½ pulgada.
Identifique todas las piezas incluidas antes de comenzar la instalación.
1. Quite de la tubería la regadera existente, girándola en el sentido
contrario a las agujas del reloj.
2. Limpie cualquier suciedad en la tubería roscada.
3. Envuelva la rosca con una tira de Teflon
®
(incluida) ciñéndola firmemente 2 o 3 vueltas
para impedir las pérdidas.
INSTALACIÓN DE LA REGADERA:
Nota: la regadera de la ducha no funcionará si el cartucho filtrante no está
instalado.
1. Quite la tapa de la regadera extrayendo con un destornillador Phillips
los seis tornillos (ubicados en el borde circular de orificios a unos 6,3 cm
o 2,5 pulgadas entre sí) y póngala aparte.
2. QUITE LAS ETIQUETAS DE AMBOS LADOS
DEL CARTUCHO ANTES DE INSTALARLO.
Introduzca el cartucho filtrante en la parte de
atrás de la regadera, empujándolo dentro de la
cavidad hasta que se asiente firmemente.
3. Coloque nuevamente la tapa sobre la base de la
regadera y gírela hasta que los seis orificios
queden alineados; inserte en ellos los seis
tornillos y apriételos.
4. Acople la regadera a la tubería de la ducha o al brazo ajustable
Hi-Lo RDA-150 opcional de Culligan
®
(se vende por separado).
5. Coloque la regadera Culligan
®
en la tubería de
la ducha y apriete la tuerca a mano girándola en
el sentido de las agujas del reloj; coloque la junta
giratoria de la regadera en el ángulo deseado
6. Abra la toma de agua, compruebe que no haya pérdidas y ajuste lo
necesario.
7. Si necesita apretar más, cubra la tuerca con un paño protector y apriétela
con una llave de boca.

NOTA: Compruebe el flujo de agua de la regadera instalada y si no es
adecuado, puede retirar el restrictor de flujo ubicado dentro la junta (vea
“SOLUCIÓN” en el Manual del propietario incluido). El restrictor reduce el
flujo de agua que sale de la regadera a 2,0 gpm. Recomendamos no utilizar
el restrictor en zonas con baja presión de agua, donde el flujo puede ser
inferior a 2,0 gpm.
NOTA: El brazo Hi-Lo RDA-150 opcional (se vende por separado) permite
ajustar la altura y el ángulo de la regadera para satisfacer las preferencias
personales o la estatura de los usuarios. Siga las instrucciones de instalación
incluidas con el modelo RDA-150.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA CAMBIAR EL CARTUCHO:
PRECAUCIÓN: Se recomienda tapar el desagüe de la bañera o la ducha para
impedir que se pierdan los tornillos que puedan caerse durante el desarmado
y armado.
1. Retire la tapa de la regadera extrayendo los seis
tornillos con un destornillador Phillips, y
póngala aparte.
2. Sujete el cartucho filtrante y tire de él hacia
arriba y el costado para quitarlo y desecharlo.
3. QUITE LAS ETIQUETAS DE AMBOS LADOS DEL
NUEVO CARTUCHO ANTES DE INSTALARLO. Empuje
firmemente el cartucho nuevo hacia dentro de
la cavidad hasta que se asiente.
4. Coloque nuevamente la tapa sobre la base de
la regadera y gírela hasta que los seis orificios
queden alineados; inserte en ellos los seis tornillos
y apriételos.
Nota: la ducha no funcionará si el cartucho filtrante no está instalado.
Precaución: Debe proteger el filtro contra la congelación, pues puede causar
resquebrajaduras en el filtro y pérdida de agua. No utilice substancias
químicas fuertes ni abrasivos como blanqueador de cloro, líquidos de
limpieza, o almohadillas abrasivas para limpiar la regadera de la ducha.
Advertencia: No utilice la ducha con agua microbiológicamente peligrosa
o de calidad desconocida sin desinfectar adecuadamente la unidad, antes o
después del uso. No tire de la regadera ni use la regadera o el brazo de la
ducha como apoyo. Es posible que el agua que usted consume no contenga ni
los contaminantes ni las sustancias que este aparato de tratamiento de agua
elimina o reduce.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLAS
SÍNTOMA:
El flujo de agua de mi regadera con filtro era adecuado, pero de repente
cambió y ahora parece que sale menos agua.
SOLUCIÓN:
Cuando la presión de agua se reduzca bruscamente, siga las siguientes
instrucciones para limpiar el cartucho filtrante: Ocasionalmente, podría notar
que el flujo de agua de su regadera con filtro ha disminuido. Esto es normal en
las zonas con altas concentraciones de sedimentos en la fuente de agua
potable o si ésta proviene de un pozo privado. Esta disminución del caudal se
soluciona fácilmente.
El cartucho filtrante de su regadera Culligan
®
filtra hasta 10000 galones, que
equivalen a 6 meses de uso según el consumo de cada vivienda. Si observa
que el flujo es más bajo durante este período, abra la regadera siguiendo el
procedimiento para cambiar el cartucho descrito en este manual.
Con la regadera abierta, retire el cartucho filtrante y gírelo 180 grados. Vuelva
a colocarlo en esta nueva posición, ponga la tapa y apriétela. Retírese de la
trayectoria del agua y abra la ducha. Es posible que durante unos momentos
el agua salga turbia. Esto se debe al sedimento acumulado que taponaba las
rejillas del cartucho y reducía el flujo. El cartucho filtrante es reversible y
puede colocarse en cualquier dirección. Una vez terminado este procedimiento,
su cartucho continuará filtrando agua clara y limpia hasta completar los
10000 galones.
SÍNTOMA:
Después de instalar la regadera con filtro, la presión de agua no es suficiente
para obtener el flujo adecuado y una ducha reconfortante.
SOLUCIÓN:
Su producto contiene un restrictor de flujo para ahorrar agua que limita el flujo
a un máximo de 2,0 galones por minuto (gpm). Si el flujo de agua es inferior
a 2,0 gpm, puede quitar fácilmente el restrictor para lograr el caudal de agua
recomendado y disfrutar de una ducha más vigorizante.

Instrucciones para quitar el restrictor de flujo
RDSH-C115: El restrictor de flujo se encuentra
dentro del conector roscado. Quite la regadera
del brazo y ubique el restrictor de goma negro
con tres orificios en el conector.
Utilice unas pinzas o alicates de punta fina para
extraer el restrictor y deséchelo. Vuelva a colocar la regadera en la tubería de
suministro de agua de la ducha o el brazo Hi-Lo RDA-150; para hacerlo, gírela
hacia la derecha, apriétela bien y verifique que no haya pérdidas de agua
siguiendo las instrucciones de instalación original descritas en este manual.
