Before beginning the installation of the transfer switch, verify that the unit was

correctly selected. Check the following features:

• Specifications (voltage, amperage, frequency, poles, and phases)

• Enclosure (indoor vs. outdoor)

• Model

Refer to the specific transfer switch owner or operator manual for more detailed

information. Cummins transfer switches are the recommended switches for use with

these generators.

Choosing a Transfer Switch

This section includes examples of block diagrams showing partial or full load

coverage for the Cummins transfer switches.

NOTICE

These generator sets can be used with either service entrance transfer

switches or non-service entrance transfer switches.
