3.15 Remote Radiator Cooling Require-
ments (Available on All Models)
The remote radiator cooling system substitutes a
remote mounted radiator and an electrically driven
fan in place of mounted components. Removal of the
radiator and the fan from the set reduces noise levels
without forcing dependence on a continuous cooling
water supply (necessary with heat exchanger cool-
ing). The remote radiator installation must be com-
pletely protected against freezing.
Remote radiator plumbing will vary with installation.
Follow recommendations given in Cummins Applica-
tion Manual T-030. See product Data Sheet provided
with the genset (visit www.cumminsnpower.com for
genset specifications) for friction head and static
head limits.
IMPORTANT: Before filling cooling system, check all
hardware for security. This includes hose clamps,
capscrews, fittings and connections. Use flexible
coolant lines with heat exchanger or remote mounted
radiator options.
