• Push the pump in, use a pry bar so that the belt can be
rolled onto the pulley by hand.
• Align the seawater pump.
• Place the capscrews back in the pump.
• Torque capscrews to specifications. Refer to
Procedure 008-057 (Sea Water Pump) in Section 8.
• Rotate the pulley clockwise to make sure that the belt
is properly aligned.
Finishing Steps
• Install the belt guard. Refer to Procedure 008-001 (Belt
Guard) in Section 8.
• Install the belt guard. Refer to Procedure 008-001 (Belt
Guard) in Section A.
• Refer to Procedure Install the belt guard. 008-002
(Drive Belt, Cooling Fan) in Section 8.
• Operate the engine and check for proper operation.
Sea Water Pump Pulley (008-127)
Preparatory Steps
• Remove the belt guard. Refer to Procedure 008-001
• Remove the sea water pump drive belt. Refer to
Procedure 008-126

Remove the four mounting capscrews and the sea water
pump pulley.
