Clean and Inspect for Reuse
WARNING
When using solvents, acids, or alkaline materials for
cleaning, follow the manufactuerer's
recommendations for use. Wear goggles and
protective clothing to reduce the possibility of
personal injury.
WARNING
Some solvents are flammable and toxic. Read the
manufactuerer's instructions before using.
WARNING
Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using
compressed air. Flying debris and dirt can cause
personal injury.
Use solvent to clean the idler pulley mounting bracket,
adjusting screw, and related parts.
Dry with compressed air.
Inspect the bracket for cracks or other damage.
Inspect the idler pulley adjusting capscrew for thread
damage.
Replace the component if damage is found.
Install
Install the idler pulley adjusting screw and locking nut.
Install the sliding collar.
Install the stepped washer with the smaller diameter
facing out.
Install the sea water pump idler pulley mounting bracket to
the sea water pump support with two mounting
capscrews.
Tighten the capscrews.
Torque Value: 44 N•m [ 32 ft-lb ]
