Clean and Inspect for Reuse
WARNING
When using solvents, acids, or alkaline materials for
cleaning, follow the manufacturer's recommendations
for use. Wear goggles and protective clothing to
reduce the possibility of personal injury.
Clean the fan pulley and spacer with solvent and dry with
compressed air.
Inspect the fan pulley for cracks near the bolt holes and
for damage at the drive belt contact surface.
If damage is found on the fan pulley, the fan hub must
also be inspected. Refer to Procedure 008-036 in Section
8.
Replace the pulley if any damage is found.
Install
NOTE: Use the tension of the drive belt to hold the
cooling fan in place when tightening the mounting
capscrews. Do not hold the fan blades to keep the cooling
fan from rotating.
If the engine is not equipped with an engine driven
cooling fan, install the fan pulley mounting capscrews and
fan pulley.
Do not tighten the mounting capscrews at this time.
Tighten the mounting capscrews after the drive belt is
installed.

M6 10 N•m [ 89 in-lb ]
