3. Before riding for the rst time, you should check the tightness of all nuts and bolts on the scooter. Most important are
the front wheel axle nuts, any nuts or bolts around the rear brake, the motor, and the rear wheel. Make sure the brake
levers and throttle are secure on the handlebars; if they can be twisted out of alignment, their mounting bolts need to be
tightened.
4. If you choose, you can stiffen or loosen the scooter’s steering by adjusting the kingpin nut under the scooter, between
the front wheels. Be sure not to over-loosen the nut (see note below).
For safety, the kingpin nut must have full
engagement on the kingpin; that is, the entire
threaded length of the kingpin nut should be
contacting the kingpin.
