1. This hitch mounts to the bottom of the bumper beam, and to the forward section of the spare tire well.
2. Temporarily remove the spare tire and contents from the spare tire well. Lift the hitch into position centered
and square with the vehicle. Trim the bumper facia to allow the gusset to sit flush with the bumper beam.
3. Using the hitch as a template, drill (2) holes for 7/16" fasteners at the bumper beam. Install fasteners as
shown. (See fishwire technique diagram) Please note that the spacers are installed in the bumper beam with
the 7/16" bolts.
4. Using the hitch as a template, drill (3) holes for 3/8" fasteners at the spare tire well. Install fasteners with
fender washers inside of spare tire well.
5. Torque all 3/8" fasteners to 45 lb-ft and all 7/16" fasteners to 70 lb-ft.
6. Use silicone sealent to seal hardware installed through the spare tire well.
7. Reinstall the spare tire and its contents back into the spare tire well.
