Step 1
Locate vehicle battery on the driver side under the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
NOTE: A fuse may be required in the vehicle fuse panel under the hood to allow tow wiring harness to work.
Check vehicle owner manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer for more information.

Step 6
Locate a flat spot inside the vehicle, near the taillight.
Adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
Step 7
When in use, route the 4-flat to the center of the vehicle. When not in use, roll up and
store in the spare tire storage area (F). Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.
Step 8
Reinstall all items removed during install and reconnect negative battery
terminal. Install the provided 4-flat dust cover to help prevent corrosion.
NO ACCESS PANEL ON DRIVER SIDE REAR TRIM PANEL
Step 2-A
Open the vehicle tailgate and remove the cargo area cover and
flooring. Undo the four clips holding the cargo area lid in place
and remove the lid and spare tire (A,B).
Step 3-A
Remove the two clips securing the passenger side panel and
floor spacer. Remove the floor spacer by pushing in at the back
edge and out at the front edge to clear the vehicle bracket.
Step 4-A
Locate the vehicle connector near the back seat, under the
passenger side floor spacer (B,C). The connector will be similar
to that on the custom wiring harness.
Step 5-A
Insert the custom wiring harness connector into the vehicle
connector. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted with
locking tabs in place.
WITH ACCESS PANEL ON DRIVER SIDE REAR TRIM PANEL
Step 2-B
Open the vehicle trunk and remove the access panel
from the driver side rear trim panel.
Step 3-B
Locate the vehicle tow wiring connector (D,E). The connector
will be similar to that on the custom wiring harness.
Step 4-B
Insert the custom wiring harness connector into the vehicle
connector. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted with
locking tabs in place.
