Installation Guide

Step 5
Remove the 10mm bolts holding the rear cargo compartment
in place. Remove the two cargo loops on each side of the rear
cargo area (G). Carefully pry open the rear cargo compartment,
being sure not to damage the alignment tabs (H).
Step 6
Remove the rear scuff panel by pulling up (I). On each side of
the rear cargo area, remove two phillips head screws holding
the rear trim panels in place (J).
Step 7
On the passenger side, remove the jack and remove three bolts
holding the jack mounting bracket in place (K). On both sides of
the vehicle, slightly pull out on the rear trim panels.
Step 8
Route the custom wiring harness end with the green wire out
from under the rear trim panel, underneath the removed rear
cargo compartment and under the passenger side trim
panel. Repeat step 2 on the passenger side using the custom
wiring harness end with the green wire.
Step 9
Route the black power wire from the vehicle's battery
as shown on the included CME-PCL-INS sheet.
Step 10
Locate a flat spot inside the vehicle, near the taillight. Adhere
the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
Step 11
Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector such as
an existing screw with nut in the vehicle frame or drill a 3/32"
pilot hole for the provided screw. The area should be free of
rust, dirt and paint. Secure the white ground wire using the ring
terminal and provided screw.
WARNING: Check for miscellaneous items that may be
hidden behind or under any surface before drilling to avoid
damage and / or personal injury.
Step 12
Route the 4-flat out from under the driver side rear trim panel
and up between the side of the rear storage compartment and
the rear trim panel. When in use, route the 4-flat to the center of
the vehicle. When not in use, roll up and store in a convenient,
out of the way location. Secure any loose wires with the
provided cable ties.
Step 13
Reinstall all items removed during install. Install the
provided 4-flat dust cover to help prevent corrosion.
