Step 1
Locate vehicle battery on the driver side under the
hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Step 2
On the passenger side, under the
vehicle hood, locate the fuse box (A).
Step 3
Remove fuse cover and insert the relays
and fuses into positions shown (B).
Step 4
Insert the provided fuses and relays
into the locations specified in the table below.
WARNING: Check for miscellaneous items that may be
hidden behind or under any surface before drilling to avoid
damage and / or personal injury.
Step 5
Starting on the passenger side, locate and remove the five
T-20 Torx screws from the inner wheel well trim panel (C,D).
Step 6
Pull back on the inner wheel well trim panel to locate the vehicle
taillight wiring connector (E). The connector will be similar to
those on the custom wiring connector.
Step 7
Remove the mating protective cover from the vehicle tow plug
connector. To gain extra room to work, remove the fastener
located on the backside of the tow plug from the inner wheel well.
Step 8
Check the vehicle connector and make sure that it is clean and
free of dirt. Connect the wiring connector into vehicle connector
taking care not to damage the locking tabs. Make sure the
connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Step 9
Route the wiring connector rearward to the back of the fascia
of the bumper. While routing the harness take care to avoid
any hot pipes, heat shields or pinch points that may damage or
break the wiring harness.
Step 10
Secure wiring harness under the bumper with
the provided cable tie along with any other loose
wires. Secure the 4-flat to the hitch.
Step 11
Reinstall all items removed during install
and reconnect negative battery terminal.
