Installation Guide
If copying/pasting, eye-drop this text to
ensure a uniform look for all installation
paragraphs.
1. Open the rear hatch. On each side of the
vehicle remove the taillight assemblies by
removing two fasteners holding each in
place (A,B).
2. Behind the driver side taillight locate the
vehicle’s taillight wiring harness (C). The
harness will have connectors that are similar
to those on the T-Connector harness.
Separate the connectors taking care not to
damage the locking tabs. Insert the
T-Connector end with the yellow wire
between the separated connectors. Make
sure the connectors are fully inserted with
locking tabs in place.
3. Route the T-Connector end with the
green wire down through the opening
under the driver side taillight (B). Under the
vehicle route the T-onnector end with the
green wire across the backside of the
bumper (D) and up through the opening
under passenger side taillight. Repeat Step
2 on the passenger side using the green
wire. The 5-flat should end up near the
center of the vehicle.
WARNING!
Verify miscellaneous items that may be
hidden behind or under any surface before
drilling to avoid damage and/or personal
injury.
4. Locate a suitable grounding point near
the connector such as an existing screw
with nut in the vehicle’s frame or drill a
3/32” hole and secure white wire using
eyelet and screw provided.
5. Secure the 4-flat to the center of the
vehicle in a convenient out of the way
location. Secure any loose wires with the
cable ties provided.
