FAQ

MegaLite
®
Question: Can MegaLite be used to install very thin (3 mm), extremely large (5'x10') porcelain panels?
Answer: Yes, because of MegaLite’s excellent non-sag properties, it can easily support the size and weight of the
large panels. Its extended open time helps in properly placing both mortar and tile to achieve the
necessary full coverage. MegaLite can be used with many of the resin-backed panels, but check with the
manufacturer before installation.
Question: What standards does MegaLite meet?
Answer: MegaLite exceeds the requirements of ANSI A118.15, with one of the highest bond strengths to porcelain
tile in the industry. It also meets the need for extended set (E) and non-sag (T) on walls. MegaLite is also
available in a rapid setting formula that meets the ANSI requirements for fast setting mortars (F).
Question: Are there any environmental limitations where MegaLite can be used?
Answer: MegaLite is suitable for installing ceramic tile in all of the residential and commercial situations (1-6)
described in the TCNA Handbook and can be used with most installation details.
