Installation Instructions
Thank You for purchasing this high quality shade. You can
take pride in the fact that you have made a purchase that
will add functional and fashionable beauty to your home.
Your shade installs in most windows in a few easy steps.
Please review the instructions completely before
installing your shade.
Please read the warning information including in these
instructions, and with your shades
Step 1 - Mount The Brackets - Standard Shade
If the clutch is on the right side of the shade, mount
brackets as shown.
If clutch is on the left side of the shade, reverse the bracket
positions.
This tension device reduces the hazards of strangulation and
entanglement by limiting access to the bead chain.
Anchor the device to the window frame or wall so that young
children cannot pull the bead chain around their neck.
a) Lower the shade
b) Hold the tension device in the upright
position as shown in the diagram.
c) Position the tension device on the window
frame or wall so that the device and the
control chain do not interfere with the
raising and/or lowering of the shade.
d) Hold the tension device upright, and in
position, insert and secure the screw through the hole.
Pull gently on the chain in one direction to raise the shade;
pull in the other direction to lower it.
Cleaning The Shade
Roller shades can be cleaned with a soft cloth or sponge using
a mild liquid and warm water.

Levolor proudly extends a lifetime limited warranty on the purchased product to the
original residential purchaser as long as the product remains in the original window.
Levolor will cover the entire product against manufacturing defects (i.e. a flaw in the
product design, materials or workmanship, that cause the product to no longer function).
This warranty does not include any conditions or damages resulting from accidents,
alterations, misuse, abuse or failure to follow our instructions with respect to
measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance. The Levolor Lifetime Limited
Warranty does not cover damages caused by cleaning methods that use abrasive
solutions or ultrasonic cleaning methods. This warranty also does not apply to conditions
or damages caused by normal wear and tear upon the product.
The head rail and working components of all our products (except Specialty and
Commercial Applications) are covered under the Lifetime Limited Warranty. Cellular and
Pleated fabric is covered for a period of 5 years. Roller Shade fabric is covered for a
period of 5 years. Vertical PVC vanes are covered for a period of 3 years and fabric
vanes are covered for a period of 5 years. Metal Blinds have a limited lifetime warranty
on slats. Perceptions Soft Verticals fabric and PVC vanes are covered for three years.
Woven Wood/Natural Shades are a natural product and slight imperfections in the finish
and colour are normal characteristics. These natural characteristics let you know you are
enjoying the authentic item and not an artificial wood imitation. Levolor cannot guarantee
against these natural characteristics of wood, including warpage. Specialty applications
and commercial applications are covered for a period of 1 year.
Warranties do not cover removal, installation or shipping costs.

The open end of each bracket faces downward, as shown in
the drawing below. Note: if you have an inside mount and
must use “inside mount holes,” you will have to drill your
own holes in the side of the bracket. Use at least two screws
per bracket, and make sure that the screw heads clear th clutch.
Fit fascia valance into top notch of brackets.
Step 1A - Mount The Brackets - Fascia Valance

Hold the blind to the brackets with the fabric hanging up
from the back of the shade.
Fit the spring plunger into its bracket. Push the shade into
this bracket, depressing the plunger. With the locating hook
pointed downwards, place into the locating slot of the bracket.
Allow the hook to drop downwards so that it locks into
place in the bracket. (See figure 1)
Step 2 - Install The Shade - Standard Shade
Push the clutch straight onto the blade of its bracket. The bottom
of the clutch should always point straight down, as shown
above. Lower the lug of the end plug onto the “V” of its
bracket. The roller should fit in the brackets securely, with
just a little play.
Step 2A - Install The Shade - Fascia Valance

Pre-drill valance roof. Position hole
of bracket inline with predrilled hole
and screw into ceiling.
For Ceiling Mount:
Fit the spring plunger into its bracket and push the blind into
the bracket, depressing the plunger. With the locating hook
pointing downwards and the chain guard lug at the top, place
the hook into the locating slot of the bracket. Allow the hook
to drop downwards so that it locks into place in the bracket.
(See figure 1A).
Follow instructions in Step 2.
Step 2B -
Install The Shade - Regular or Executive Valance
Install brackets supplied as shown in diagram. Place valance
into clip and snap into place.

For Wall Mount:

a)
Make sure brackets are mounted level, or shade will roll crooked.
b) If shade veers toward the right. correct by lowering shade
completely and placing a piece of tape (multiple pieces may be
necessary) as close to the left edge of the roller as possible. It
will act as a shim. (See Illustration)
c) If shade veers toward the Left. correct by lowering shade
completely and placing a piece of tape (multiple pieces may be
necessary) as close to the right edge of the roller as possible. It
will act as a shim. (See Illustration)
Useful Tip In Case Your Blind Doesn’t Go Up Straight
Important Notice
It is recommended to guide the blind with your hand while it is
rolling up to ensure balanced positioning of the material on the
roller.
