detect scenes using the Multi Trim tool. Detected scenes, by contrast,
are not split from the original clip, but are simply divisions contained
within it.
• To perform a simple trim a video or audio clip, select the clip you
want to modify and click Trim.
• To perform a multiple trim a video or audio clip, select the clip
you want to modify and click Multi Trim.
Note: To make a more precise cut, click to open the timeline magnifier
and use the zoom in button or zoom out .
Set a Clip’s Duration
Within the timeline you can set the amount of time:
• a single photo clip is displayed
• a title effect is displayed
• a video effect is applied to the Master Video track
• a PiP effect or object is displayed
• a transition takes to complete
To set a clips duration, do one of the following:
• select the clip, click the Duration button, enter the new duration
in the Duration Settings window and then click ok.
• right click on the clip, select Set Duration, enter the new
duration in the Duration Settings window and then click ok.
• select the clip, position your cursor at one end of the it and then
drag the end of the clip to the new position.
Note: Transitions can only be lengthened to half of the duration of the
shortest clip they affect.
