ROUBLESHOOTING
d4: INCLINE, INCLINE VOLTAGE, and CALIBRATION
This test allows you to:
1. Elevate the treadmill up and down using the and keys.
The elevation reading flashes in the left control panel window.
2. Re-calibrate the elevation sensor.*
This test displays the diagnostic test number d4 and flashes the
elevation % grade in the left control panel window. The right
control panel window displays the elevation potentiometer
signal voltage.
For example:
d4 12 4.9
Active keys during this test:
START/ENTER will advance you to the next diagnostic test.
STOP will exit and return you to the mode you were in before
entering the diagnostic tests.
SHIFT backs you up one step in the diagnostics test menu.
The - key is used to store the elevation lower limit.
The + key is used to store the elevation upper limit.
The and keys change the elevation up or down.
d5: LED TEST
This test lights up all the LEDs and back-lit messages on the
display individually, in sequence. It allows you to locate any bad
LED segments.
For example:

Active keys during this test:
The - or + keys will light up all the display segments at once.
START/ENTER will advance you to the next diagnostic test.
STOP will exit and return you to the mode you were in before
entering the diagnostic tests.

d6: KEY PAD TEST
The diagnostic test number, d6, is displayed in the left control
panel window. This test displays a code number for any key
depressed during the test in the right display window. Each key
on the display is represented by a code number 1, 2, 4, 8, 16,
32, 64, counting from left to right.
For example, for the + key:
d6 64
Note: To calibrate the 400T, run the elevation
to its lowest limit (0% grade) using the
key.
Next back off one pulse of the elevation
motor by pressing the
key. Set the lower
limit by pressing the - key. The “CAL” light
will illuminate on the display to indicate
acceptance. To set the upper limit, run the
elevation to its maximum limit (15% grade),
using the
key. Next, back off one pulse of
the elevation motor by pressing the
key.
Set the upper limit by pressing the + key. The
“CAL” light will illuminate to indicate
acceptance.
