1. Lower the outboard to the vertical operating position. Make
sure all cooling water intake holes are submerged.
2. Open fuel tank vent.
3. Open the fuel shut‑off valve.
4. Attach the lanyard to the stop switch. Refer to General
Information ‑ Lanyard Stop Switch.
