Channel ganging links controls together so any input or output
combination track with the same parameters. Remember that
changing the ganging will copy the settings from the lowest
channel in any gang to all the others immediately
on pressing OK,
so be careful when changing this after you have configured your
unit!
On all 4 Series units, there is an additional function on the Format
tab – Clear Settings – this allows various parts of the configuration
to be reset to default values. This screen is invoked automatically
if the routing is changed.
For the DP224/6/6i, the properties are limited to two tabs –
the format tab (including ganging) and the names tab – as the
DP226 example here demonstrates.
Due to the fixed format DSP configurations, there is no “Free
Assign” mode for these units, and ganging is automatically
enabled as appropriate, depending on the format chosen.
For example, if output ganging is enabled with a 2 x 3 way
format, outputs will be ganged as 1&4, 2&5, 3&6.
In a “2 x 2 way plus 2 Aux’s” format, the output ganging (if
enabled) will link 1&3, 2&4, and leave 5 and 6 independent.
