Copying and Pasting Features
Graphic EQ settings and many other parts of a unit or channel’s data may be copied and pasted into other parts of the
system, subject to certain restrictions.
Starting with the graphic EQ settings, a right
click on the response curve will bring up a
floating menu allowing the fader settings (and
response/bypass state) to be copied.
Pasting into another channel (or another unit’s
channel) is simply a case of selecting the
channel, and right clicking again over the
response curve, then selecting “Paste Graphic
Filters”. Channels that have been ganged
together will all be updated together.
Complimentary features exist for input
and output EQ adjustment screens. A
right click on the response curve will
allow the filters to be copied and pasted
into another channel. Note that gain and
phase reverse are NOT copied.
Entire device settings (current settings,
not memories) may be copied and pasted
into another unit by right clicking on the
block diagram for the particular unit.
Note the other copy and paste options
available here. Depending on where you
click on the device window, different
options are available. Right clicking over a
channel’s input PEQ, for example, will allow the input EQ filters to be copied on their own, and pasted into another
channel’s input section. This holds true for the graphic EQ section, and the output EQ/crossover sections.
To copy the entire device, make sure the mouse pointer is
over the coloured background of the window.
Pasting devices is only possible between units of the same
model number.
Cross device EQ copying is possible from DP226s and
DP224s INTO 4 Series units, but not vice versa. This is
because, whilst all the EQ in a DP224 or DP226 can be
replicated in the 4 Series, there are many types of filters not
available in the older units, and the 4 Series units have more
physical bands of EQ, which cannot be duplicated. Copying
between 4 Series units is possible with no restrictions.
