To edit or create a new filter, enter the desired VLAN ID number as well as the MAC address in the first
two fields, respectively. Next, check either
None
,
Egress
, or
Forbidden
for each port.
None
should be
checked if you don’t want a port to belong to a VLAN. Check
Egress
to statically set a port to belong to a
VLAN. Checking
Forbidden
prevents the port from joining a VLAN dynamically as well as defining the
port as a non-member. Select the appropriate State (
Permanent
,
Delete on Reset
,
Delete on Timeout
, or
Invalid
). Click
Apply
to activate the filter.
Trunk
This is the fourth category of the Web-based management program. One item is featured in this section,
Port
Trunking
.
Port trunking is used to combine a number of ports together to make a single high-bandwidth data pipeline.
The participating parts are called members of a trunk group. The Switch supports up to four trunk groups,
which may include from two to four Switch ports.
