Usage Guideline
Use this command to configure the system’s location information on the Switch.
Example
This example shows how to configure the system’s location information with the string “HQ 15F”.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# snmp-server location HQ 15F
Switch(config)#

This command is used to configure the system’s name information. Use the no command to remove the
setting.
snmp-server name NAME
no snmp-server name
Parameters
NAME
Specifies the string that describes the host name information. The
maximum length is 255 characters. As a suggestion do not configure
the hostname longer than 10 characters.
Default
By default, this name is “Switch”.
