Troubleshooting
This chapter provides solutions to problems that can occur during the installation and operation of the DHP-W310AV. Read the following descriptions
if you are having problems. (The examples below are illustrated in Windows® XP. If you have a dierent operating system, the screenshots on your
computer will look similar to the following examples.)
1. Why am I unable to access the web-based conguration utility?
When entering the IP address of the D-Link DHP-W310AV (192.168.0.50), you are not connecting to a website on the Internet or have to be
connected to the Internet. The device has the utility built-in from the factory. Your computer must be on the same IP subnet to connect to the
web-based utility. You may also enter http://dlinkapWXYZ.local. (on the Wi-Fi Conguration Card) instead of the IP address.
•MakesureyouhaveanupdatedJava-enabledwebbrowser.Werecommendthefollowing:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer® 7.0 and higher
-MozillaFirefox3.5andhigher
-Google™Chrome8.0andhigher
- Apple Safari 4.0 and higher
•Verifyphysicalconnectivitybycheckingforsolidlinklightsonthedevice.Ifyoudonotgetasolidlinklight,tryusingadierentcableorconnect
to a dierent port on the device if possible. If the computer is turned o, the link light may not be on.
•Disableanyinternetsecuritysoftwarerunningonthecomputer.SoftwarerewallssuchasZoneAlarm,BlackIce,Sygate,NortonPersonalFirewall,
and Windows® XP rewall may block access to the conguration pages. Check the help les included with your rewall software for more information
on disabling or conguring it.
