Section 1 - Product Overview Product Overview Package Contents Your DUB-9240 should contain all the items listed below. Before you begin the installation of the device, please check to make sure that the following items are included in your package.
Section 3 - Configuration Getting Started Software Installation Before connecting your wireless USB Adapter or 4-port Hub, insert the provided CD into your PC. The InstallSheild Wizard will start automatically and detect what operating system you are running on the PC. After the InstallSheild Wizard detects what operating system is running on your PC, the Welcome screen will appear. Click Next.
Section 3 - Configuration The InstallSheild Wizard will begin the DUB-9240 software installation. The wizard will prompt you to insert the DUB-1210 wireless USB dongle into an available USB slot. Click OK.
Section 3 - Configuration The wizard will prompt you to install the Device Firmware Utility. Select “Install the software automatically”. Click Next to continue. The Device Firmware Utility will take a few moments to install.
Section 3 - Configuration After the Device Firmware Utility has installed, your system should detect the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Control Driver as new hardware. The InstallSheild Wizard will prompt you to install software for the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Control Driver. Select “Install the software automatically”. Click Next to continue.
Section 3 - Configuration Click Finish. After the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Control Driver has installed, your system should detect the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter as new hardware.
Section 3 - Configuration The InstallSheild Wizard will prompt you to install software for the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter. Select “Install the software automatically”. Click Next to continue. The wizard will prompt you to remove the DUB-1210 wireless USB dongle from the USB port. Click OK.
Section 3 - Configuration The following prompt appears when the installation is complete. Click Finish. You will be prompted to power on the DUB-2240 Wireless USB Hub and connect it to an available USB port. Click OK.
Section 3 - Configuration The following prompt appears when the installation is complete. Click Finish. After the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter has installed, your system should detect the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Cable Based Association Framework Driver as new hardware.

Select “Install the software automatically”. Click Next to continue. You will be prompted to remove the DUB-2240 Wireless USB Hub from the USB port. Click OK.
Section 3 - Configuration The following prompt appears when the installation is complete. Click Finish. You will be prompted to insert the DUB-1210 Wireless USB Dongle into an available USB port and push the Start button on the DUB-2240 Wireless USB Hub. Click OK.
Section 3 - Configuration Using the Control Center Link Info Link List The Link Info list displays the status of the connection between the wireless USB adapter and hub.
Section 3 - Configuration Configuration Connection Status The Connection Status option allows you to power off the wireless USB adapter. Host Settings The Radio Channel and WUSB Host Name can be changed here.

Appendix A - Contacting Technical Support Contacting Technical Support U.S. and Canadian customers can contact D-Link technical support through our web site or by phone. Before you contact technical support, please have the following ready: • Model number of the product (e.g. DUB-9240) • Hardware Revision (located on the label on the bottom of the switch (e.g. rev A1)) • Serial Number (s/n number located on the label on the bottom of the device).
Appendix B - Warranty Warranty Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, D-Link Systems, Inc. (“D-Link”) provides this Limited Warranty: • Only to the person or entity that originally purchased the product from D-Link or its authorized reseller or distributor, and • Only for products purchased and delivered within the fifty states of the United States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Possessions or Protectorates, U.S. Military Installations, or addresses with an APO or FPO.
Appendix B - Warranty Limited Software Warranty: D-Link warrants that the software portion of the product (“Software”) will substantially conform to D-Link’s then current functional specifications for the Software, as set forth in the applicable documentation, from the date of original retail purchase of the Software for a period of ninety (90) days (“Software Warranty Period”), provided that the Software is properly installed on approved hardware and operated as contemplated in its documentation.
Appendix B - Warranty • After an RMA number is issued, the defective product must be packaged securely in the original or other suitable shipping package to ensure that it will not be damaged in transit, and the RMA number must be prominently marked on the outside of the package. Do not include any manuals or accessories in the shipping package. D-Link will only replace the defective portion of the product and will not ship back any accessories.
Appendix B - Warranty IF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED IN ANY TERRITORY WHERE A PRODUCT IS SOLD, THE DURATION OF SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE. Appendix B - Warranty CE Mark Warning: This is a Class B product. In a domestic environment, this product may cause radio interference, in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures. FCC Statement: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
Appendix B - Warranty Technical requirements for hand held UWB systems (a) UWB devices operating under the provisions of this section must be hand held, i.e., they are relatively small devices that are primarily hand held while being operated and do not employ a fixed infrastructure. (1) A UWB device operating under the provisions of this section shall transmit only when it is sending information to an associated receiver.
Appendix B - Warranty Technical requirements applicable to all UWB devices. (a) UWB devices may not be employed for the operation of toys. Operation on board an aircraft, a ship or a satellite is prohibited.
