Section 1 - Product Overview Product Overview Package Contents Your DUB-9240 should contain all the items listed below. Before you begin the installation of the device, please check to make sure that the following items are included in your package.
Section - Configuration Getting Started Software Installation Before connecting your DUB-1210 USB Adapter or DUB-2240 Wireless USB 4-Port Hub, insert the provided CD into the CD drive on your PC. The InstallSheild Wizard will start automatically and detect what operating system you are running on the PC. After the InstallSheild Wizard detects what operating system is running on your PC, the Welcome screen will appear. As instructed, do not plug the USB adapter or hub into the PC at this time.
Section - Configuration To accept the terms of the License Agreement, select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” as shown. Click Next. Select the user you are installing the software application for. Choose “Anyone who uses this computer” to allow all users. Click Next.
Section - Configuration Select a destination folder where the software will be installed. By default the software will install in the C:\Program Files\D-Link\Wireless USB\ folder. Select Change to install in a different folder. Click Next to continue. When the wizard is ready to install the software, you will be prompted to begin the installation. Click Back to make changes to the previous steps or Cancel to exit the wizard without installing the software. Click Install.
Section - Configuration The status of the installation will appear while the software installs. Your operating system may prompt you with a message stating in cannot verify the publisher of the driver software. Select “Install this driver software anyway”.
Section - Configuration With the installation nearly complete, the wizard will instruct you to connect the USB hub to the computer to begin the association process and install the hub. Click Next. A series of messages will pop-up as the hub installs and associates.
Section - Configuration While the driver software is being installed, you can click the icon in the system tray to check the status. The wizard will prompt you when the software has installed sucessfully and the devices are ready to use. This completes the software setup.
Section - Configuration Using the Control Center Link Info Link List The Link Info list displays the status of the connection between the wireless USB adapter and hub.
Section - Configuration Configuration Connection Status The Connection Status option allows you to power off the wireless USB adapter. Host Settings The Radio Channel and WUSB Host Name can be changed here.
Section - Configuration About About Displays the software name.
Appendix A - Contacting Technical Support Contacting Technical Support U.S. and Canadian customers can contact D-Link technical support through our web site or by phone. Before you contact technical support, please have the following ready: • Model number of the product (e.g. DUB-9240) • Hardware Revision (located on the label on the bottom of the switch (e.g. rev A1)) • Serial Number (s/n number located on the label on the bottom of the device).
Appendix B - Warranty Warranty Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, D-Link Systems, Inc. (“D-Link”) provides this Limited Warranty: • Only to the person or entity that originally purchased the product from D-Link or its authorized reseller or distributor, and • Only for products purchased and delivered within the fifty states of the United States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Possessions or Protectorates, U.S. Military Installations, or addresses with an APO or FPO.
Appendix B - Warranty Limited Software Warranty: D-Link warrants that the software portion of the product (“Software”) will substantially conform to D-Link’s then current functional specifications for the Software, as set forth in the applicable documentation, from the date of original retail purchase of the Software for a period of ninety (90) days (“Software Warranty Period”), provided that the Software is properly installed on approved hardware and operated as contemplated in its documentation.
Appendix B - Warranty • After an RMA number is issued, the defective product must be packaged securely in the original or other suitable shipping package to ensure that it will not be damaged in transit, and the RMA number must be prominently marked on the outside of the package. Do not include any manuals or accessories in the shipping package. D-Link will only replace the defective portion of the product and will not ship back any accessories.
Appendix B - Warranty IF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED IN ANY TERRITORY WHERE A PRODUCT IS SOLD, THE DURATION OF SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY COVERED UNDER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN, THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY, SELECTION AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT IS WITH THE PURCHASER OF THE PRODUCT.
Appendix B - Warranty CE Mark Warning: This is a Class B product. In a domestic environment, this product may cause radio interference, in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures. FCC Statement: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
Appendix B - Warranty Complies with Part 15 section 519(a) of FCC Rules. Operation of a hand held device is subject to the following conditions: (1) A UWB device operating under the provisions of this section shall transmit only when it is sending information to an associated receiver. The UWB intentional radiator shall cease transmission within 10 seconds unless it receives an acknowledgement from the associated receiver that its transmission is being received.
Appendix C - Registration Registration Product registration is entirely voluntary and failure to complete or return this form will not diminish your warranty rights. Version 1.
