Important Safety Instructions General Safety Precautions To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death when using your range hood, follow basic safety precautions, including the following: WARNING • If you receive a damaged product, immediately contact your dealer or builder. Do not install or use a damaged hood. • Make sure that the range hood has been correctly installed and grounded by a qualified installer according to the accompanying Installation Instructions.
Parts of the Range Hood h t ep t D Width A B b Height D ep th E C F D A HOOD CANOPY The hood canopy is the housing that covers and unites all components and creates the hood system. The purpose of the hood ventilation system is to capture heat, smoke, and odors and move them outside. Model shown: RNHP30 E LIGHTS Recessed, dimmable 7.5W LED lights, size PAR16 E26/27. The quantity and placement of lights depends on the model.
Operating Instructions WARNING Never operate the range hood without the filters in place. Also, do not use the hood with grimy or grease-laden filters. Personal injury, fire, or damage to the range hood could result. AUTO-ON Feature Using the Hood Features To Temporarily Turn the OFF: Control the fan(s), lights, and timer by pressing the illuminated blue buttons on the control panel. See image below. 1. Press and release the FAN button until the fan shuts OFF.
Care and Cleaning WARNING WARNING To avoid the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury: • Thoroughly dry the filter(s) immediately after cleaning. • Turn off power to the hood at the circuit breaker panel or fuse box before cleaning. • Turn off the cooktop or range and make sure that the appliance and range hood are cool before cleaning. • Clean the hood only in the manner specified. • • Use only the types of cleaning solutions specified in this manual.
Care and Cleaning Maintenance WARNING Cleaning the Stainless Steel Clean stainless steel surfaces with a mild solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water. ALWAYS WIPE WITH THE GRAIN OF THE STEEL. Do not use abrasive cleaners or abrasive cloths. Rinse and dry with a micro-fiber cloth or other lintfree cloth. • To prevent electric shock, turn power OFF at the fuse box or circuit breaker panel before replacing the light bulb.
Before You Call for Service Problem — Solution Guide Problem May Be Caused By What to Do (Solution) Nothing Works: Main power switch is off. Control panel is not lit. Power to hood is off. Check the main power swich inside the hood. Turn on power at junction or fuse box. Check for tripped breaker or blown fuse. Power outage. Call your electric company. Hood not connected to electric power. Have qualified electrician connect hood to electric power. Loose light bulb.
