4.18 Capacity Determination Device Abnormality

Method of Error
Detection
Capacity is determined according to resistance of the capacity setting adaptor and the memory
inside the IC memory on the indoor unit PCB, and whether the value is normal or abnormal is
determined.
Error Decision
Conditions
When the capacity code is not contained in the PCB memory, and the capacity setting adaptor is
not connected.
When a capacity that does not exist for that unit is set.
Supposed
Causes
 The capacity setting adaptor was not installed.
 Defective indoor unit PCB
Troubleshooting
Install a capacity setting adaptor.
Replace the indoor unit main PCB
(A1P).

replaced with a spare
PCB.
The
capacity setting
adaptor need to be
installed when
replacing the
PCB.
Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
