1. LCD (with backlight)
» LCD backlight illumination lasts approximately
30 seconds after pressing any button.
» If two remote controllers are used to control a single indoor unit,
only the controller used first will have backlight functionality.
2. Operation mode selector button
» Press to select operation mode (Cool/Heat/Fan/Auto/Dry).
» If the display shows the icon, heat or cool
mode will not be available for selection.
3. Menu/OK button
» Press to display main menu. Navigate to desired
menu item and press to select item.
4. Fan speed control button
» Press to select preferred fan speed.
5. Up arrow button
» Press to raise
setpoint.
» Press to navigate up.
6. Down arrow button
» Press to lower
setpoint.
» Press to navigate
down.
7. Right arrow button
» Press to navigate
right.
8. Left arrow button
» Press to
navigate left.
9. Operation lamp
» Lamp illuminates
solid green when unit is ON and operating normally.
» Lamp flashes green when an operation error occurs.
10. On/Off button
» Press to turn unit ON or OFF.
11. Cancel button
» Press to cancel selection and return to the previous screen
1. Operation Mode
» Displays current operation mode: Cool, Heat, Vent, Fan, Dry
or Auto. In Auto mode, the current operation mode (Cool or Heat)
is also displayed.
2. Fan Speed
» Displays the current fan speed. (Note: Some units do not include
fan speed control or display fan speed.)
3. Setpoint
» Displays the setpoint of the indoor unit.
» Go to Menu > Celsius/Fahrenheit to select the temperature unit
C or °F).
4. Standby for Defrost/Hot start
» Displays “STANDBY” notice when in defrost or hot start status.
5. Message
» Displays warning and error messages.
6. Ventilation
» Displays when unit is connected to an Energy Recovery Ventilator
(ERV). Ventilation Mode icon AUTO-ERV, ERV, and BYPASS
indicate the current ventilation mode for the ERV unit.
» Air purify icon AIR PURIFY indicates that the air purifying unit
(optional) is operating.
7. Key Lock
» Displays the button lock icon when set.
8. Scheduled
» Displays when the Schedule or OFF timer is enabled.
9. Under Centralized control
» Displays when unit is controlled by a multi-zone controller
(optional), and unit operation through the remote controller
is limited.
10. Changeover Controlled by the Master Indoor Unit
» Displays when the connected unit does not have the authority
to change the operation mode between cooling and heating.
11. Setback
» Setback icon flashes when unit is turned ON by the
setback control.
12. Airflow Direction
» Displays the airflow direction/swing status. This item only
displays if connected unit features oscillating louvers.
13. Current Day/Time (12/24 Hour Time Display)
» Displays the current time setting. If clock is not set, “-- : --
is displayed.
» Go to Main Menu > Clock & Calendar to set 12 or 24 hour
display option.
14. Selectable Display Item
» Room temperature is selected by default. Go to Menu >
Configuration > Display > Display item to select display item.
15. Unable to Schedule
» Displays when clock is not set. (Note: The schedule function
requires the clock to be set.)
A. Standard screen mode display items.
B. Detailed screen display mode includes airflow direction,
current day/time, selectable display items.
C. Simple screen display mode only shows primary function items.

Set the screen display mode from: Main Menu-Configura-
tion-Display-Display Mode. Three screen display modes
are available: Standard, Detailed, and Simple. Standard display
is set by default.
