1.1.3 Check Operation
* During check operation, mount front panel to avoid the misjudging.
* Check operation is mandatory for normal unit operation.
(When the check operation is not executed, alarm code "U3" will be displayed.)
On completion of test operation, LED on outdoor unit PC board displays the following.
H3P ON: Normal completion
H2P and H3P ON: Abnormal completion
Check the indoor unit remote controller for
abnormal display and correct it.
Malfunction code
In case of an alarm code displayed on remote controller:
Check on operation

Press and hold the TEST
OPERATION button (BS4) on
outdoor unit PC board for 5
seconds.
The test operation is started automatically.
The following judgements are conducted within 15 minutes.
2“Check for wrong wiring”
2“Check refrigerant for over charge”
2“Check stop valve for not open”
2Pipe length automatic judgement”
The following indications are conducted while in test operation.
2LED lamp on outdoor unit PC board H2P flickers (test operation)
2Remote controller Indicates “On Centralized Control” on upper
right.
Indicates “Test Operation” on lower left

The shutoff valve of an outdoor unit is left
closed.
Check referring to the table in “6-6 Additional Refrigerant Charge”.
U1 The phases of the power to the outdoor
units are reversed.
Exchange two of the three phases (L1, L2, L3) to make a positive
phase connection.

No power is supplied to an outdoor or
indoor unit (including phase interruption).
Check if the power wiring for the outdoor units are connected
correctly. (If the power wire is not connected to L2 phase, no
malfunction display will appear and the compressor will not work.)
UF Incorrect interconnections between units Check if the refrigerant line piping and the unit wiring are consistent
with each other.

Refrigerant overcharge Recalculate the required amount of refrigerant from the piping length
and correct the refrigerant charge level by recovering any excessive
refrigerant with a refrigerant recovery machine.

Insufficient refrigerant • Check if the additional refrigerant charge has been finished
correctly.
• Recalculate the required amount of refrigerant from the piping
length and add an adequate amount of refrigerant.
