4.13 Compressor Lock

Detection
A compressor lock is detected by checking the compressor running condition through the position
detection circuit.

Decision
Conditions
09/12 class
 Operation stops due to overcurrent.
 If the error repeats, the system is shut down.
 Reset condition: Continuous run for about 11 minutes without any other error
15/18/24/30/36 class
 A compressor lock is detected by the current waveform generated when applying high-
frequency voltage to the motor.
 If the error repeats, the system is shut down
 Reset condition: Continuous run for about 5 minutes without any other error

Turn off the power. Disconnect the
harnesses U, V, and W.

Check with the inverter checker (∗).
Turn off the power and reconnect
the harnesses. Turn on the power
again and restart the system.
(Precaution before turning on the power again)
Make sure the power has been off for at least 30 seconds.
Correct the power supply or
replace the outdoor unit
