Switching the Changeover Master
About the changeover master
When multiple indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit or branch selector unit, by
giving the authority to switch the operation mode to a specic indoor unit, the operation
switching of other indoor units can be controlled.
• Only the remote controller set as the changeover master can select cooling, heating or
auto operation modes.
• Remote controllers not set as the changeover master will follow the operation mode of
the changeover master.
• Setting and cancellation of the changeover master needs to be carried out on the
remote controller that is already the changeover master, and the remote controller that
is to be set as the changeover master.
• Depending on the system, this function may not be available.

Example of the changeover master settings
In the following cases, it is necessary to give the authority to choose cooling/heating to 1
remote controller:
• When multiple indoor units are connected to the same heat pump outdoor unit.
• When multiple indoor units are connected to the same branch selector port in a heat
recovery system.
