7.13 High Pressure Control in Cooling

Method of Error
Detection
High pressure control (operation halt, frequency drop, etc.) is activated in cooling operation if the
temperature sensed by the outdoor heat exchanger thermistor exceeds the limit.
Error Decision
Conditions
The temperature sensed by the outdoor heat exchanger thermistor rises above about 65°C
(149°F).
The error is cleared when the temperature drops below about
49.5°C (121.1°F).

Causes
The installation space not large enough
Dirty outdoor heat exchanger
Defective outdoor fan motor
Defective stop valve
Defective electronic expansion valve or coil
Defective outdoor heat exchanger thermistor
Defective outdoor unit PCB

Caution
Replace the outdoor fan
motor.
Reconnect the connector or
fan motor lead wires.
Replace the stop valve.

expansion valve or the coil.
Replace the outdoor unit
PCB (main PCB).
Change the installation
location or direction.
Clean the outdoor heat
exchanger.
